Best guy friend online for 3+ years who I somehow fell in love with turned out to be a chick. The chick that "he" claimed was "his" sister in photos. Srsly lame.

Thing is, "he" was never weird. Very normal person with a great sense of humor, very talented writer, etc. (read: too good to be true, right? yeah.) I came to find out the only reason "he" never told me the truth was because "he" found it easier to get girls to open up to "him" on a personal level by posing as a male than "he" ever would've as a female. She straight up told me that she didn't believe we ever would've been as close as we were if I knew she was a woman. Ugh. The whole thing was a painful learning process. It's been three years since I cut off contact. She still writes every now and then and I just recently FINALLY got a full explanation and some closure. Not sure if I'll ever fully forgive, but it's great to finally hear what I've been wanting to hear for all this time.
