I'm same as Lisa - watched religiously up until Green's character died. I tried hanging on because I love Carter so much and always followed his storylines, but when he left for the first long stretch, I had a very hard time getting back into it. The fact that he and Abby never ended up together seriously soured me on the show, too, because they went through so much and I felt kind of betrayed that things never worked out. True to life, perhaps, but whatever lol

I missed last night's ep but it's DVRed. I can't wait to go home and watch it on my lunch, though I so know I'll cry. I got close just seeing Greene in the damned commercials leading up to it.

PS my mother read an interview with Noah Wyle

He confirmed that George Clooney is on board for a return cameo, they're still waiting on word from Julianna Margulies, but Eriq La Salle will be back. He said that Benton's character will reappear as Carter is seeking dialysis outside County General (since he lost a kidney in the attack that left Lucy dead and him an addict). Benton works at the hospital he goes to for treatment.

omgzomgzomgz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say... I stayed with ER because of Carter... then I got hooked on Luka for a little while... I stayed because of Abby as well... I was so upset when Carter left... I really wish he would have stayed with Abby.. They were sooo close! He had the ring a few times! But she "wouldn't change", so he left...Poor Carter... between Abby, then the stabbing, the addiction, the baby dying.... he sure has been through a lot.
