I don't have any weird stories, but I knew someone who had a story that sounded too weird, but it was true. On another board, this lady claimed to do boxer rescue. She also claimed to have a lot of health problems, so for me, that sent up immediate red flags that she'd be looking for handouts. She *always* had a hard luck story of one sort or another. in the hospital, just out of hospital, tree fell on the house, etc. The final straw was when she claimed, soon after getting the house fixed from the tree, that someone drove into her living room...some drunk driver plowed straight through their house. So I had my husband (he does internet security and can seem to find anything) to do some research on her. I was afraid that all the nice people offering to help her were going to get suckered. But...amazingly enough, all of her information checked out. Her name, address, health stuff, my husband found articles, police reports, etc., backing up her stories. A couple of years later, I actually met up with her...and sure enough, she was legit...just one of those people who seem to attract ALL the bad luck.

HA! Sounds like me. I swear, I have THE worst luck. I don't HAVE to make shit up!

A few weeks ago I posted a thread about my friend's friend who was killed in a horrible car accident. LAST week, another of her friends was HIT by a car walking across the street. She landed on her face and brok her jaw, lost ALL of her teeth and broke her arm.

I'm not really that creative, lying takes too much freaking effort. lol
