I think it depends on what you want to do. I got my RN out of high school through a two year program. From a clinical standpoint there is nothing I couldn't do with my RN (registered nurse) that a BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) can do. However, because of the BSN I am somehow now more qualified to do administrative/teaching type jobs. Honestly, I didn't really learn much more when I went back for the BSN. I'm not saying I didn't learn anything but there is no great big difference in me personally. I think either you can/can't do certain things and no amount of schooling will change that. It might help one way or the other but not intrinsically change anything.

BTW, can't you study on the bus? I found it a great time to get a lot done.
