I truly think it's becoming more common to graduate a little later than "normal." My degree, if I had done it how they planned it, would have normally been completed in 4 years. I will actually be done in 4 years and 2 quarters (almost 5 years). I will be a "super senior" as we call it, lol. There are TONS of them (even without switching majors or some other issue that might cause a lengthier amount of time).
I just couldn't do that much. I pretty much would've had to take between 14-16 credits per quarter (which generally equals out to 4-5 courses per quarter). With working I just could not have done it. It's hard enough as it is only taking 12 credits per quarter (3 courses). I'd rather take a little longer and not stress as much. I highly doubt employers will look at how long it takes you. I think all that matters is that you earned that degree.
