On the subject of the perfect Arabian head. We're quite hard to figure out, and head perfection varies from area to area and discipline to discipline, let alone country to country. Even these two illustrations vary greatly in what is and should be the perfect Arabian head:

(and if these were posted already, oh well. )

I find the top one to be more of a modern and realistic rendition of an Arabian head, and prefer it to the bottom, but frankly there are and always will be Arabians with heads like the bottom, and they will indeed be considered perfect. It caters more to the tea cup muzzle impression, granted so does the top version, but in a less extreme manner. You'll notice both have jibbah, and dish in practically the same place, the muzzle is smaller and elegant, as are the ears. Both maintain the proper shape, and generally both are acceptable and beautiful Arabian heads- just different models. For all we know, they could both be related, and the bottom is a mare showing a more feminine look and the top is her full or half brother catering to a more masculine look.
