It was (and still is) my (ex?) horse. I wanted Cash so badly. I had showed her in youth classes for my trainer as his oldests were no longer into riding. She went up for sale at some point and the trainer made my parents a deal they couldn't refuse. They never told me. I was surprised on my 12th birthday with her. So, yeah, great b-day present haha!

To this day, any horse I ride is constantly compared to that horse. I sold her for a penny back to the trainer for his children (kids with 3rd wife) to ride. They are 9 and 4 and really, really appreciate her for all that she is. I can still ride her any time, but it was not fair for me to keep a horse while I am out of the country. It wasn't fair to here, which is why I did it. I never would have sold her to less than the perfect home and this WAS the perfect home. Plus, I have no idea where I will be in 5 years. That's not fair to the horse.

I still see her as perfect, though, and when the kids are done with her (she's 18, got many years left on her) I'll prolly buy her back and give her the best retirement a horse can ask for.
