Sounds like he needs to RIDE a lot of horses because they can LOOK really perty and give you serious floating kidneys. An old timey QH with a lope so slow you can walk beside it and so smooth you can carry a glass of beer when you ride without spilling it, strong and steady but not too tall, lots of power but very sweet and gentle. And I'd look at a mare. Bet this guy loves women. And guys who love women really understand mares. But there are lots of others he can ride and he might just find out that a really good gaited horse is a joy you can ride when you're 100 years old. Lots of get up and go and almost no bounce to the ounce.
And just FYI not all paso finos are teeny little things. This girl is a serious chunk and so are her mom and sister. They aren't real tall but they are brutes. Gotta love that butt too. She's a grey now but was a gorgeous black.
One really cowy gaited breed is the Florida Cracker horse, the state horse of Florida. If you can find one trained you have an amazing ride. We have one of them and he is unbelievable.
Our Florida Cracker horse (a REAL one, not just a mutt horse in Florida)
He must have been a beautiful baby
Cause baby just look at him now!
