My first dream horse was my aunts 15.1hh wiiiiide bay mare, Nikki. Nasty, barn sour, and not trained well. I was 12 at the time, and started working with her while taking lessons at the same time. For whatever reason, I lucked out better with her than anyone else, my aunt included. I did a LOT with her, and eventually she turned into a nice trail horse. She could throw this HUGE whopper temper tantrums on the lunge line, but I never got the impression she would hurt me. I felt completely safe with her despite what I had seen - she had reared, bucked, and ran people into stalls, walls, and the jump standards in the indoor arena. I loved her, though. My aunt was trying to sell her, but because she was so rotten with everyone else Nikki wasn't moving on the market. All of a sudden, my instructor told me one day she was sold and I couldn't work with her anymore because the owner didn't want anyone touching her. My aunt gave her away for free and lost track of the lady. She had first "buy back" from the lady, but the lady ended up selling her a few weeks later and never told anyone. I don't know where she is, but I think she may have ended up at new holland auction and probably went to meat.

My dream horse now? While I certainly didn't WANT Nakai when I started retraining him, he ended up being one of the best horses I've ever ridden. We've got a fantastic bond, and he's not going anywhere.
