I'm going the the same exact thing with my cat. It's been up and down the past 5 days. I had it pretty much decided I was putting him down Saturday, but he was eating more and moving around. I didn't have the firm results/diagnosis yet either. Then last night he crashed a bit and it seems harder to walk and control his rear legs. Well....gotta wait till Monday anyways so I've been feeding him with a syringe so he's getting much more than he was getting. This morning I was going to go to work and my retired neighbor was going to come feed him every 2 hours...but when I woke up he was walking worse. I fed him and decided to stay home. Then an hour later he's walking straight again. Ugh. There's a part of me that keeps saying if I feed him for just a little while longer, maybe he'll get his strength back. But I'm not even sure it's just that he's weak that is causing his issues, or if there's something more to it.
Gotta call the vet at 9 to see if they have more results. We'll see what they suggest but I'd rather not take him in and put him through that stress until they can really help. Or unless I'm putting him down.
