I'm sorry your vet's not being very sensitive. I guess I should be happy with my local woman. She had not problem coming out and doing it at my home. She offered to let me keep him & bury him here, but we have way too many wild animals here.

An advanced warning: there are laws against releasing an animal that has been euthanized to be home buried because of the "toxins going into the ground water" or some such.

The whole thing just sucks. I don't understand why they don't want you to give her tranquilizers before bringing her in... that way she really won't be aware of anything scary - like going to the vet's. I don't know if I would "remember" those instructions if I were you.

Oh, I feel so bad for you. I wish you had a strong shoulder there.
