Aren't suprises wonderfull!!??!! lol I would talk with the breeder, most people are nice, and considering you were told the mare was not bred, and just now found out she is, he may work woth your finances.

Years ago I bought a little Morab filly, coming 2. Liver chesnut, cute, hot, but sweet. Well I had her about 8-9 months, and one day I was driving to the ranch to feed, and there was a baby deer out with the horses! No! wait its a foal! But paint mares not due to foal for 3 more months! Oh crap! It sure dont look like a mule! (I bred my mare to a donkey)

Yes, you guessed it, little morab filly had popped out a baby! I saw she was a little fat, but did NOT look prego fat, and I was out there every day, there were no signs! no bagging up, no dropping, no spongy lose back end.

But all turned out well, cute little booger, not idea what daddy was though, but foal was very arab looking, so maybe arab, maybe her daddy? lol Who knows with a yearling being bred.
