I agree with the high set hocks, Kizmet for sure.. I like a shorter cannon bone as well, myself. What about his pedigree? I am not familiar with Paint pedigrees, and i know his sire hasnt done anything (as of yet?) except reproduce his color.hehe. I wonder why his neck looks so much better in his baby baby photos. That being said, my 3 coming 4 year old filly was an UGLY UGLY duckling and has just recently come into herself. She is looking fantastic now(in my eyes of course!). She had NO hindquarter for the longest time, (pointy butt) and now.. well, now its huge. (I will attach a pic) She has changed so much - she went through a really gangly stage and her neck was aweful, ewey almost. oh, and her head goes through really weird stages, that is why I asked about the head. Right now she has a HUGE moose head... Anyway, just to show the changes (and for fun)I will post pics

this is totally going off topic, but I wanted to share this anyway. Its nothing special, but we hauled out to a friends were they will be holding sortings, and me, hubby and my daughter just played with the cows a bit. I just kept it really slow and quiet for her and I think she did allright. Still pretty green to take her sorting, but oh well! we are going to go anyway when they start..lol

oh, and to answer your question Kizmet, the colt lives in Arizona and I am in BC Canada. Weather has been -30 with windchill here, so we thought it would be in his best interest to wait until it warms up a bit before coming home. I kind of bought him on impulse, oh hell, I DID buy him on impulse. I didnt need another, I just LUFFED the KYOOT KOLOR! I hope he doesnt turn out to be a total ugly duckling. Well, as long as he can hold up to what I like to do, he should be fine.
