Trade it in on a quality product. Our 2001 Jetta TDI tanked last Apr. The turbo suffered catastrophic failure dumping oil in the valves, ruining the engine. The guy changing the engine looked at us and asked if we had ever done maintenance on it. We had done it at the dealerships to our great expense and it seemed much of what we payed for was never done. It has needed several adjustments and new parts since then and has all but driven us to bankruptcy. We can't afford to keep it but we can't afford to get rid of it. It has needed collectively about $12,000 in the past year. The front bumper and front spoiler assembly is being held on with bungee cords at the moment. We called the dealership. They say it happens all the time and $100 dollars and it will be good as new unless the clips are actually broken. If it happens all the time, in my mind that indicated piss poor design. VW should fix the damn piece of shit as far as I'm concerned but I am sure they won't. Get rid of your Jetta while you can still get good resale from the POS.
