My x-mas pup was only 12 weeks old but not socialized very well at all. The first thing that I started with her was the puppy pads and "need to go potty". Then, that same night, she went into her crate and thankfully she loved it and that is where she naps and sleeps at night. She has her accidents every once in a while but she is getting better. It does help to have older potty trained dogs in the house too.
I work with her on everything that you said and her biggest problem is leaving the kitties along. She just can't quite get what "NO KITTIES" means, lol. Our two older dogs both turn around and walk away when Tootie gets in trouble for bugging the cats.
My pets are the reason why I can't find a new home away from the soon to be ex, lol. I refuse to give up anymore of my animals and there is no reason to get rid of them for a "divorce".
