On the topic of the original horse, I think he is a very nice example of a Foundation gelding.

He's well-proportioned, compact, he looks like he could be athletic in a variety of disciplines. He has a nice hip, and really nice pasterns. He's got a cute, if slightly common head.

He's also in very nice condition and the pictures are well-suited to a critique.

His shoulder could be more laid back, but it isn't terribly upright.
