My grandmother was on a greyhound bus that the driver went over her hours, ran a red light, and was hit by a tractor trailer, Her friend and one other person (from Ireland) were killed instantly, she had severe internal injury's and ended up in a coma, they pulled her off of life support after 2 weeks, and she passed away 10 days later at 62.

She was in good shape, had battled ovarian cancer and it had been in remission for 2 years. She beat the cancer only to be killed by someones carelessness.

I definitely commend the driver for stopping. For all we know she had a hard night and was exhausted, and had called someone to come pick her up because she was tired. Yes she should have waited for the other driver, but really how would that of helped? To me, the blame belongs with the back up driver and greyhound dispatch.
