Well, since this IS the FHOTD forum, I'd suggest you address any problems with pulling pictures off the net for critique to her. That's how she rolls, and that's how the folks who are here because they enjoy her style and commentary roll, too.
And know what else?
It's not against the law. Plain and simple.
So WHY does it have to be a big deal ad nauseum for everybody to figure it out?
Yeah, there's 900+ horses here to critique... guess what? When I want to critique a certain fault, I'm not going to go ask folks 'Scuse me, but could someone please post a picture of their upright-shouldered horse so we can debate it?'
The competent breeders I know are always welcoming opinions from EVERYBODY, because they strive for objectiveness in their programs and want to know how they're doing. It's the name of the game.
It is THEIR choice to take the opinions given as fact or not.
That's why I told Tell It Like It Is how good it was that she was being so objective. It's the hallmark of somebody who understands how this all should work... objectivity being the term I've chosen over 'barn blindness.'
I think lots of folks get so mad at Susan because they KNOW her experience and ability, and she's got a formidable opinion... so formidable that it would be difficult to write it off as bullshit if it's not what you want to hear.
A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep.
