I think the only other thing I would add is to try to match up your horse or foal not only to a good home, but one with realistic expectations of what the horse or foal can or will be able to do, as well as the level of experience that potential buyers/riders have..

From G Bar herself...Christ. Does she even KNOW that two of the horses she JUST SOLD look like they are starving?

How about that green-as-grass palomino G Bar, where is IT today?

How about all the newbies on Horsetopia that you try to sell foals to? How about all the newbies you try to convince to breed to your stallion?

CHRIST this woman pisses me off. How dare she compare HER program to one that produces WORLD CHAMPION foals.

She spent most of the thread trying to pick on owners who don't rescue useless horses. You know what?

Here's my advice to ALL prospective horse owners. Don't rescue...it's not on you to pick up someone else's trash. Go to an ACTUAL reputable breeder, whose horses ACTUALLY do something besides eat and SUPPORT THEIR BUSINESS. Support a trainer who is rehoming a lightly used show horse. Support the owner that outgrew their well-behaved, well-bred show pony...just pass it forward and find the pony ANOTHER good home when your kid outgrows it. As soon as people find that there is NO market for their craptacularly mediocre horses they will STOP. Cleaning up their messes for them by buying from low-end auctions PROMOTES shitty breeding. Leave the rescuing to the rescues...you're an OWNER...don't let anyone tell you that you deserve anything less than a show-quality horse...you don't OWE those @#%$ breeders ANYTHING...least of all a home for one of the foals they should never have bred.
