Ok, apparently I wasn't clear enough with the info as only one person seems to have a clue what I'm referring to. This injury occurred over two years ago when he was in training with the seller's trainer. He was initially treated by the seller's vet, had surgery to repair the tear and was rehabbed per vet instructions for a month or two. I got him when the injury was about a year old, after a full vet inspection and a trial period.
The "off" in the RRL is a hitch due to the fact the muscle was torn and has been filled in with scar tissue, causing this leg to not fully extend until he's warmed up. He's been on a vet recommended conditioning program since we've had him and you can certainly tell a difference in his movement as compared to when we first got him. What I'm concerned about, as eluded to by the person who knows what I'm talking about, is re-tearing that area. That's why I'm trying to find out if anyone has any experience with a similar situation.
