What are some (aesthetic) "deal breakers" on an otherwise breeding quality horse for some of the other posters? Or even pedigree problems that would cause you to not breed a phenotypically superior horse? Are there any?

I also would like to know about stallions that tend to "stamp" their foals with their likeness. One of my horses is by a sire whose foals are all EASILY recognized as his. He stands in my state, so I am constantly seeing them at shows. I can pick each one out of a crowd. My horse's grandsire on the sire line also looks just like this, and tends to "stamp" the foals with his likeness, as well. Where does this come from and how?
