There's lots of barrel studs that are & have done well. But people tend to flock to the ones that are "Producing" the great winners. So when that stud does great in arena & then the breeding shed, people will jump on the pedigree like it just came down fresh from Heaven. Even though the bloodlines may have been around a long time. They will even want to breed to his sire too if he's still alive.
