The only way to do this, is to wave money, and lots of it and rejuvinate the supreme champion and super horse titles.

Those are great points. You are right, they will follow the money. The versatility ranch class is becoming popular, but I don't think it's enough of a test. Not that it's not a good event, but if that was all a horse did, it's not indicative of a champion horse worthy of being breeding material. If they combined or required both the versatility class with the performance halter, then maybe. Then add a cow class and a speed event. Which brings us right back to Supreme Champion again. How would we have a "weekend all-around"? LOL. Weekend cutting, reining, barrel racing, etc. work, but an all-around? I can't picture that. Unless there was a match race involved (which might really be fun). Then you could really try out that mare you say can't run.

I think that performance halter class is a step in the right direction, but I feel they should have worked to fix the regular halter classes instead. Now it's even more divisive.

If you were to put on a 3 or 4 day "Super Show" to get to this "All around Super Horse". Have your seperate classes, with some added money. Have to have some $$ to get them to compete but not near as much as that elusive all around title. Have all the classes listed, and the horses going for that Super Horse title HAVE to compete in the specified different classes and a combined score from each class determines your super horse title. Give a point system with at least a 3 point spread between each placing so they really do have to be in the game each trip out. There isnt any reason why barrel racing couldnt be a required event. Having barrels opens the door for many facilities. Match racing would limit facilities a great deal because then your limited to facilities with a good arena and a good track.
Put a $100,000 pay check strictly to that super horse title from the combined scores of the weekend. Give a trailer with it to. A trailer is easy to get sponsors on as it's a traveling billboard. Make it open to the world. All age, breed and sex's welcome. Be fun to watch a Arab or Morgan take the western breeds on and it would be fun to see if a QH, Paint, Appy, or Arab won it.
Trust me, that mare cant run! LOL
