They might be out of straws now, I'd have to check. He died in 2001, so they must be out by now, but I did see an ad for him just last year for $3500. No, I wouldn't breed a mare to him either, HYPP or not. The only thing I liked about that horse was the level of fitness (cut) he had (most of which was from being HYPP N/H), and his tail female line, which is one of the best. I have a mare whose 2nd dam is by Kid Clu, but the issues I have with her are directly related to irresponsible halter breeders not keeping the integrity of the breed in front of them. She's the mare whose foal we lost in 2006. I never bred her back.

One stallion who is dead that I noticed is still "standing at stud" is Coosa. I didn't know that until just recently.
