Anyjackie, Global Petfoods carries a lot of "hollistic" foods (ie, not commercial hah). We buy our raw bones at the butchers, just frozen. We feed them frozen, they last longer and are less messy to handle that way.
When I mentioned Legacy and the stool, it was only to suggest that if it makes the stool look like raw fed dogs, then it must have similar effects on the body as raw meat and bone. Look to the poop! It tells the tale.
Burnt Umber - did your poodle have allergy related yeast infections? Our standard has it in both ears, quite badly. We have cut almost everything out of his diet, he is on Orijen Fish formula, and its slightly better, not great though. Lots of things seem to work, then stop working after a month or so. We have tried cleaning his ears with apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, stuff from the vet, every kind of drop, probiotic yogurt....NOTHING really helps in the long run. Would you suggest that venison food? Where do you get it?
