ofcol, that's what I'm talking about. I rarely see a horse that isn't speed bred in my business. It's a huge segment of the QH population. So maybe the cutters and the show horse people are ruining the breed but the rodeo people and barrel racers are keeping it alive!! These horses are athletes and they work for a living. They don't all have the smooth bodied look or the pretty heads of the "all around" horses ftfotb is striving for, but they are put together correctly to do a job, and to stay sound. They can't survive or thrive as a rope horse or barrel horse if they are going to break down. They HAVE to be conformationally correct just to last. These horses don't have 2-3 year careers, once you get a good horse you need them to last as it's too hard to get a replacement. These horses to me are the future of the breed, and are what the QH is meant to look like and be used for. (wow I think I hear the star spangled banner playing in the background!!).
