We tried Canidae, but the picky poodles were not fans.
Hehehe, picky poodles I have a lab, he will do two back flips and then a cartwheel for the promise of pocket lint. The dog thinks with his stomach, unless there is a ball within 200 feet - then he's "in the zone" as we like to call it.

Lin: I agree that the more meat, the better. Raw diet did get expensive for us though... we started raw because of allergies to meat proteins. Things were great for about six months, and then my dog started getting some of the same problems. The vets thought it had to do with the amount of chicken, and suggested other meats. We switched and things were going well, but it did get too expensive. I know this experience clashes with the premise of raw diet, but he just couldn't kick his ear infections, etc. Before stopping with the chicken, I started changing the environment to eliminate any other possibilities (like no swimming in the ocean, etc), but had no luck. We use canidae now, lamb and rice formula which has something like 70% lamb meal and it has proven to be a good alternative.
