LOVELY foal and I'm not even a QH person!

FWIW... I like to see foals a little 'cowhocked'. They will straighten when the hind end developes. If they start out "normal" when their butt develops they will end up the opposite of cow hocked which in my never nearly as humble an opinion as I should have, is much worse than a tiny bit cowhocked.

I feel the same about front legs on young foals. If the legs don't come in a bit as they go up to the chest, when the chest does develope you will have a horse with bow legs!!! People never think of this when evaluating foals.

Same for toeing out slightly.... when the chest widens the legs "straighten" (they aren't really crooked to begin with just not developed) and tada... you have lovely forward facing toes. Now... I never wanna see em toeing in. Cause, as you might guess... when the chest widens the toeing in gets worse.

I raised a lot of foals and very very few were born without "cow hocks" and slightly toed out. EVERY last one with no exception, wound up straight. In fact... I never produced a crooked baby by some amazing miracle.
