That's probably because the first century or so of Appy breeding had absolutely nothing to do with cows. As far as De Renzo, I seriously hope that awkwardness he has is something he'll grow out of when he gets older, and since he's a yearling (in that photo at least) there's a good chance he could look nice as an adult. I'd really like to see what he looks like when he's not halter fit though, I think I'd like him a lot better then.
