That's why cutters who don't have that much cow sense can become ropers, reiners, penners and reined cow horses. What can a WP horse do outside of its own discipline? Again, I'm not dismissing specialization (like FTFOTB does), I am just trying to say that the more demanding the discipline the more aware you can be about a horse's different abilities.

This is true, how can you argue against it? If you are using human sports as a comparison, some sports require more athletic ability than others. Jogging doesn't require the same amount of athletic ability as say, hurdles.
