"According to the articles that FtFotB swears by (posted on the Bull Dog thread), they would agree since the cutters can use speed and stop on a dime." I don't "swear" by anything. I posted those articles as another point of view to the first one posted by WDW. Since you brought up speed blood, you admit to the benefits of it, but only if it suits your own discipline? I'm surprised that the point of the Integrity thread has totally escaped all the intelligent people here.

Quite frankly, I am suprised at the point made on that thread by all who were disagreeing with you. YOU were stuck on the TB. Nobody argued against speed blood. They argued against the TB being the perfect outcross to bring that speed blood. Not only TB's can run.
Do you realise in a TB race the clock doesnt start for 40 ft? Yes thats right, they get 40 feet to get untangled, wound up and find their stride before they are on the clock.
Do you realise a QH runs gate to wire? Meaning, their clock starts the minute the gate opens. No running start on the clock.
Do you realise, in many performance events, just how much 40 feet means? Just how much can actually happen in 40 ft??? I dont care if your talking, cutting, reining, ropeing, running barrels, or reined cowhorses. 40ft might as well be a mile. It makes THAT much difference!
