Hello All, again thank you so much for the information... keep it coming!

NoVa = acquired taste... Is this because it's suburban? I don't really like suburban, preferring wide open spaces, but I've been living inside the I285 perimeter, maybe 13 miles from downtown Atlanta, in a townhome community. Sadly, suburban will be an improvement. Now, with that said, are these weird suburbs? Safe suburbs? Nice suburbs?

LisaKB, I noticed a lot of horsey options in Lesburg. My husband isn't too keen on this area though. He will most likely end up needing to do a daily commute to the Pentagon, and is (understandably) dead set on keeping the travel time down. That's why he's focusing on areas south of DC, because of the two main metro lines that pump ringht into the pentagon area. *sigh* This is frustrating, but at the same time I don't have any commute to my office - which is usually located in the spare bedroom

Thanks to the poster who tiped me off on Cedar Run, this is great and hard to find advice, just what I need.

Now, to you eventers.. if I'm interested in getting into eventing, but will most likely end up with an unhandled horse/greenie, would it make more sense to start off in a low key environment with less concern on one english discipline vs another, or an eventing orieted barn - for starters. I know I could always switch after a few years. The few eventers I kind of know have a different approach to training than I was use to in my past HJ experience.. I was use to multiple ring lessons a week, they seem to be cool with a lesson once or twice a month, working on homework between times. So, what are your thoughts? I feel I'll be ok to slowly start a young or green horse, but will be new to eventing. What do you suggest. Does this question make sense?

Thanks again!
