Sarcasta, it all depends on where you compete or if you compete at all. When I was a kid, if you won at our county fair, you were a big shot.

I have trouble with the concept that a horse is great even if he has never competed. That may or may not be true, but because I've competed for years that is my outlook.

There is value for a horse other than competition. Possibly as a ranch horse or a trail horse.

Hmmmm.. Obviously I have trouble with this concept. I'm working on it. I suppose a horse has value even if you don't use it for anything specific.
