I agree KH ... he looks like he still needs a stronger foundation on flatwork though before you go jumping. He looks a little weak behind and trot work should help with that. As well as keeping a good dressage base.
I think once he has a stronger hindend and stronger back he could do well in three-day at the lower levels. I must admit I'm a bit timid of throwing him in the h/j ring at the A show level because of his "nontraditional" look. Maybe Hunter Princess would come in here and shed some more light. I've been out of the h/j game for several years and things could have changed.
I actually think his conformation would lend nicely to equitation. Because it is more technical and not entirely based on presentation. Horses similar to his confo (who may have a longer back with a weaker rear end -- maybe just out of shape?) usually bail out of jumpers before getting higher than 3'6" and those who aren't traditional in look might not make it far on the hunter scene ... but I think he would do very well in equitation.
Have you jumped him yet? What is he like? From his confo, I would guess he can pop his knees and look really cute. Also, since he has a pretty thick neck, I would work with a trainer making sure he is comfortable getting lighter in front, which will help him with equitation (and any other discipline).
Equitation would also be a nice fit for him if he is super responsive.
