Aww, my husband is still completely non-horsey. He likes to talk to Zion occasionally and sometimes go on walks with us, but if I have him hold Zion for pictures he gives me the most helpless look. We've only been married for a year so it sounds like there's still time for him to decide one day he wants to learn how to ride. I'm just glad that he's so willing and supportive of me and my horse endeavors.

Speaking of jealous horses though. I got my first horse when I was 11. He was always way to much horse for me... and the best thing in my life for years and years! However being 17hh and slightly difficult I had to resort to all sorts of unconventional things at first. The first time I tried to bridle him I had to stand on a fence. I was doing just fine until he pulled away and started to take me with him. My uncle was standing right there and grabbed me around the waist so I wouldn't fall. Ty got so angry he charged him...

Another time... it was our first trail ride and my uncle went with us (on foot) to make sure nothing happened to us. At one point I dismounted, and when re-mounting Ty started to walk forward. My uncle's first impulse was to put both hands on Ty's chest and try to push him back. Needless to say that didn't go over well and my 1400 lb warmblood won :-P. It took a long time after that for them to trust each other again lol.
