Understood if he's working at the Gon! Yeah, he really needs to be clever about where he lives. So your commute will be longer to the horse.
Here's a story about Cedar Run. I went to a schooling h/j show there one summer. I took my dog. Since being an eventer, I always take my dog. No where on the prize list nor on the website did it state no dogs. I get there and start to sign up. This *%$%$%# starts barking at me about my dog and how there's no dogs allowed. I state that there was no where anywhere, including signs at the barn where this rule was written. May I just tie him up to my trailer and not walk him on grounds? She yells out that I MUST keep him in the truck. IN JULY! I packed up and went home. It was a %+*% hole anyway. And I don't mind telling people to never go there. They were incredibly rude.
Eventers: I told Baxtersmom in the the other thread to contact the Area 2 Adult Rider group. It's a fabulous group of people that really help out. www.usea2.net is our website. There's a link somewhere there to send in the app. It's well worth the $25. I could go on and on about what we do.
And really don't think that all you can afford is some greenie. If you're seriously looking at taking lessons and getting a horse, contact Lisa Reid 703 421 1490. Don't dick around with her. She's a horse finder and a good instructor but she can immediately tell if you're a waste of time. She's been around the block. And around here, DO NOT go just get a horse. They are picked over here. You will NOT find a great deal without inside help. She found my horse for me and I was shopping for 6 months.
Welcome! Hope to hear from you in our AR2 yahoo group! (Warning, they make you do crazy things like travel to TN for the ATC's or get nekkid for a fundraising calendar)
