That would also include a throatlatch thick enough to not be able to flex properly.


I didn't miss the sentence, it did not address flexing, only airflow, they are not mutually exclusive. Some thick throated horses can indeed flex w/o losing airflow, but it is more difficult for them and not a trait I wish to have present if I can help it.
