Well, I agree with above posters; seriously, if you want to be healthy, you need to eat fruits, veggies, and whole grains--whole grains especially, nothing can replace. You can take a fiber supplement--we take Benefiber--but it's just fiber, not whole grains, which also contain other healthy things. You can also take a condensed veggie supplement--Herbalife has a really good one, my hubby takes it cause he hates good-for-you-food--and omega-3's (fish oil) or try the shakes/drinks designed to give a day's worth of fruits and veggies, but, really, all those are kind of crutch-like; if you really want to get healthy, you're gonna have to suck it up, get over your food issues (if you don't trust your mom, cook for yourself), and make the effort. It's not just about losing weight; my hubby is 6'4" and 165 lbs, but I, at 5' 1" and 150 lbs, can kick his ass all day long, because I am strong and healthy, and he prefers Doritos and Hot Pockets; I'm still losing weight too, and will until I get back to 120. Go for primarily protein--egg whites, lean chicken, soy, whey protein, low-fat cheese, fat-free cottage cheese, etc--and then tailor in veggies, fruits, and tasty stuff, like hummus. I subscribe to Oxygen magazine, which is tailored to fitness for women.

Your body is telling you something, when you get sick all the time--but you have to suck it up and make the change.

Why do most liberal political arguments boil down to someone shoving their pointy little nose in my face and saying "Well, you see, we've decided that personal responsibility, self-reliance, and independent thinking are old-fashioned and very passe'--not to mention dangerous and problematic!--so we insist you desist on all of the above at once!"
