FTFOTB Aficat, I'm in Nevada. My associate is in New Zealand for our pedigree software. WMerrickWannabe is in Missouri. Where are you?

Ah, I thought it was something like that, but I wasn't sure. I got it stuck in my head that you were in NZ, and the American stock horse pedigree focus you have got a little weird in my mind. Lots of good horsewomen, like Deb Bennett, seem to spend all their time either out of this country or on the coasts, which is pretty much the same thing to those of us suffering fools in the flyover states, and I was secretly hating on the Aussies for having another intelligent horseperson way the heck over there :P.

I'm in MN, so my chances of ever meeting you are now more than "snowball in hell" and less than "winning lotto ticket" :rollin . Do you ever go to MN? We've got a nice Horse Expo and one of the largest State Fairs in the country, if you're into, you know, horse stuff and *random food* on a stick :D . I want to cross FTFOTB off of my "Famous Horse People I've Had Conversations With" list someday. You'd be up there with David O'Connor, Monty Roberts, Clinton Anderson, Dorothy Crowell, Craig Cameron, Walter Merrick's (I think, training QHs at Canterbury Downs) son and granddaughter, Scoop Vessels,...actually, this is more a list of people I've asked awkward questions about horses. The art of the first impression is generally lost on me :lol . I did have lunch with David and Dorothy though; the eventing clinic organizer was impressed that I was the only one taking notes.

Nobody wants to talk about stock horses around here, at least not to under-40s with no connections, and it would be nice to get something other than "She looks pretty, would you like a stallion flyer?" on my horses. I'd post a picture in the CC forum, but my QH currently has ugly long toe/low heel in front and I'm having a heck of a time finding a farrier again. I'm debating whether to post the email I got from the last farrier who answered me as a caution against people who can't spell doing their own professional mail. Seriously, a farrier should be able to spell the word "trim".

/yes, I'd like to meet FTFOTB
//I'd like to meet Fugly, OFCOL, Three Corners, and Apples too
///I'm weird like that
