The difference between most foundation QHs and the type of horses I am breeding is mine have enough class and eye appeal to hold their own in a halter class. There's no reason to sacrifice class for any particular performance ability.

Foundation QHs have plenty of class and eye appeal. Most people don't wish to compete in halter classes, so if foundation QHs aren't as competitive I don't think those people would care. And I'm not sure if your horses are the halter type (didn't you say you don't compete them because they wouldn't win?). But even if they are, let's not pretend that they are SUPERIOR. They are just a different type.

All of the foundation QHs fans aren't going to buy your paints just because they could compete in a discipline which they aren't even interested in!

The best thing for you to do would be to play up your horses' strengths, rather than try to convince all the foundation QH people that they are wrong. :)
