This question brings up a lot more questions for me.

I personally believe in spirits, But...

If you believe in ghosts does that automatically mean you believe in an afterlife?

Any Atheists/Agnostics here believe in ghosts?

Do you guys think everyone becomes a spirit or just some people?

What are the requirements for becoming a spirit?

I know my dad told me two separate stories that sealed the deal for me with ghosts...

Backstory:
My mother "drowned" 6 weeks after giving birth to me, I say "drowned" because its come to light after talking with her formally estranged mother that she probably committed suicide..She went swimming at the beach during a riptide warning.

Anyway

My dad told me that after she died and was cremated the motion sensor burgalry alarm kept going off in our house.
The service people were called in several times and said absolutely nothing was wrong with it, They even replaced it and it still kept going off.

After about two weeks of this happening my dad noticed that my mothers urn was in the direct path of the sensor and decided to move it out of the way (he was very superstitious)
The alarm never caused any more trouble after that.

Another one was when I was about a year old my dad had fallen asleep with me in his lap. He said he was awoken by what felt like a cold hand on his face and when he opened his eyes I was about to fall off onto the floor.
