My horse can be a raving bitch and has a very cranky attitude. She's cute, but she's grumpy. She's smart, so she gets bored easily. That's one of the reasons she's such a great trail horse, but can be a crappy arena horse unless you actively make an effort to keep it interesting.
You know your horse better than anyone. If something doesn't work for your horse, THAT'S OK. Seriously, horses are different just like people are. Some kids learn well in classrooms, some don't. The ones that don't can be labeled all kinds of things, given drugs and generally molded into the "norm". Maybe your horse is one of the ones that doesn't do well with conventional methods. That doesn't make her a bad horse, just more of a challenge.
Some people come up with plans in their head for everyone else around them, and when others don't follow "the plan", they get very pissed off. Sounds like your trainer had a lovely plan all worked out for you and you refused to play ball. That doesn't make you a bad person, and it doesn't necessarily make her nuts. She's probably just frustrated and doesn't have the people skills or understanding to handle it well.
