Hello. I am Leroy Blackwell, president of Goshen Enterprises, the company that markets the Barnes Trainer. I am posting on this message board to give everyone an opportunity to ask me questions about the Barnes Trainer and to aid in the discussions that you are having. You can visit us at http://www.barnestrainer.com/index.html and you can find testimonials from trainers and customers at http://www.barnestrainer.com/testimonials.html. I am including a short paragraph about the bridle to get the discussion started. Please allow me to answer any questions that you may have. Feel free to personally contact me at info@barnestrainer.com. There is also a FAQ page on our website http://www.barnestrainer.com/FAQ.html.

The Barnes Trainer is used as a trainer to reduce a horse's desire and ability to buck. It is being used successfully by professionals and novices as well. It works with a system of cables that encircle the horse's ears at their base with cable loops hanging down below and on either side of jaw. Then a small rope or strip of leather is tied to one loop, back to the saddle horn, dallied once and ends at the other cable loop making a second set of reins. The horse squeezes his own ears with a downward motion of his head causing him to lose interest in bucking. The trainer is worn underneath a bridle. It is by no means a cruel device. It only discomforts the horse until he lifts his head and then the pressure is released.

Thank you for your time,

Leroy Blackwell
