Also: can anyone recomend a trainer in south east michigan that would be willing to sell him on consignment? I have been riding and showing for long enough to where I know most of my options in the area, but it's worth asking.

I don't know about south east michigan, but I know a TON of amazing trainers in Indiana. If you want I could give you the number of my trainer, who could tell you the best she knows to work with your horse. I thought that my filly was going to be a pasture ornament her entire life, she scared the crap out of me. Even when I was AT the training clinic with her I was scared of her. So my trainer had another trainer ride her for me, and the guy was unflappable, Barry something near Indianapolis. He's amazing. Of course there are a ton of trainers she's told me about ("oh, we'll call so and so if you ever want to get your ex-racers working, he specializes in those.") I don't know if any of them would do consignment, but it's always worth a shot.
