LOL! I am a firm believer that quietex and all that stuff is a tube of bullsh!t. I had a halter filly, who it was her first show and she was a lil nutty so we packed her full of that stuff before even getting her on the trailer ride, which was only 4 minutes to the local arena. she came out of the trail, reared up, flipped over... okok, maybe we'll make it to the arena? no, then she was barrel kicking at everyone within 10 feet, pulling back, flipped over again, pranced everywhere.. flipped over AGAIN! and then went back in the trailer and went home. needless to say, she went BACK to the lady that we were leasing her from, (one of our friends)
and yes.. I see so many people that do NOT lunge, or warm up considerably well. and then wonder why their horse is hot and prancy. my horse has to be lunged for about a half hour before and after saddling at one day shows he's WORSE at over night shows, and has to be lunged for over an hour BEFORE showmanship. he's not hot, actually you would THINK he is going to be good, but you regret not lunging him when he's screaming his head off for his "buddy" he saw 2 minutes before the class during the line up. :/ ... (the reason why I HATE him right now)...........wait , why do I own horses again??
