You guys are doing a wonderful thing..

I might be wrong here, but I think you can address packages to a Unit or Company... I'll ask my husband - he's in the Army. He was in the mid-east for about 4 out of the 5.5 years we've been married. I sent TONS of packages overseas (but I had him disribute them), and found that it really went the extra mile.

I also though I would add some other items that I have found to be great successes for you or anyone else looking to sending care packages...
Depending on the group you are sending to... if they work outside of the base with the locals it often helps to send toys. These are given to people working with the military, for their kids, and is often an ice breaker that helps to build trust. Other things are 'traded', but those you probably shouldn't/couldn't send :/

Oh, and another thing that is needed but often overlooked... It gets really cold (particularly in Afghanistan) in many places in the middle east during the winter/nights. Those polarfleece headband/ear covers were also a BIG hit with the soldiers. I hated that they were never warm enough. A lot of the MOSs require soldiers to wear civillian clothes and to be out/away - it gets brutal out there.

I'll do some asking around for people overseas.. most of our friends are finally home, but I'll look into it.
