Fine! I'll move my post over here!

We do not declaw unless the cat can't be sidegtracked from scratching. In the mere 3 weeks before we declawed him, my daughter's cat took the wallpaper off in 3 places, ripped blankets, and started on the furniture. He would have become an outside cat, but we have a busy street and cat-killer dogs next door. We either had to take him back to the shelter or lose the claws.

haha, sorry about the double post thing!

A friends cat took the wall paper off of her apartment and she ended up having to declaw her as well. My cat started clawing furnature so I bought those claw caps that can go over claws and it seemed to break the habit...but then again, he's a tad brain damaged so he's pretty easy to outsmart on a lot of things.
