I couldn't go this year because I'm taking summer classes at school (I want to have an easy year next year and these classes only run til June 24th) so at any rate I couldn't go this year . First time in ages I missed Devon...it's my favorite show! There's just something about it. And my friend was the Ronnie Mutch Eq champion, and my other friend won the younger large jr hunter stake and my other friend was 2nd and 7th in the older large jrs which I would've liked to see...oh well. Glad everyone did well, even if *I* wasn't there lol! If you live within a few hours of Devon, you should definitely try to go next year! It's a really fun show with the little carnival, LOTS and LOTS of shopping (best part), and of course it's one of the most prestigious hunter (and jumper) shows in the US! I also highly recommend going for the Grand Prix, but you will have to buy tickets in advance - they do sell out. Just be prepared that A) Parking is a TOTAL nightmare and you will have to pay out the you-know-what for it and still have to walk to the show, b) it will be VERY crowded and C) The lines to get food always take FOREVER and ever so don't get food 5 minutes before anything important lol. Especially for fries and/or ice cream, those always have the longest lines. I think I waited for a solid 25 minutes for fries last year.
