I looked at the mare's pedigree. I'd say her dam was bred to race. This mare, not so much. There's not a lot of racing blood in the sire line. The mare's face IS cute in profile. If you're planning on main ring halter, I don't think you're going to get it with this cross. Sport horse is a different story. There's just not enough pretty in the front there on either side and that's still what wins n MR. Even with the scorecard. El Norus is one of the few SE stallions out there whose pedigree is primarily horses who were bred to use rather than the poodle on a string we see so many of. His sire line is Gharib, who was an athletic sucker but damn plain. He has Dalul in his pedigree so don't hold your breath on the ears. Dalul's were far from dainty, but at least they didn't flop like *Refky's. Edited for ear thing.
Yes, she is bred to race, but I should have been more broad and said "perform" since she has EP champs back there too. Her sire is a race track winner and endurance winner, and she came from a racing barn that breeds solely for racing horses. The sire side may not have raced much themselves, but were used as racing bloodstock and produced winners (ie WMF Fad Donna, Blackfire, Sudelefadcrystal (1981 National Champion Race Filly) Windicitive, Fadbai Priciness) Lu-Nor Sabu was shown and was Champion of Champions at the West Michigan Futurity as a 3 year old and had multiple wins in English Pleasure and Halter, plus 2 Race Wins.
I'm not planning on main ring halter- I am going to be showing in the sport horse ring. This girl wouldn't stand a chance in MR halter lol.
