That may be but is there something wrong with being able to look at a horse and know if he is on or off the bit or has proper headset? He isnt asking her to tell from the saddle he just wanted her to look at some pictures and see some of the differences. So that she can have a better understanding of what he is asking of her.
The whole point of being "on the bit" is that it is not about headset. If the horse is balanced, engaged, and moving correctly, then head/neck posture will always be correct.
